WARRANTY & RETURN POLICY

PERIOD OF WARRANTY

The warranty offered by Computer Heaven Ltd is limited to a twelve (12) month period, unless
specified otherwise on the Tax Invoice or Job Order.
The warranty is a carry-in, or in-store warranty. If service is needed on-site, labour charges would apply.

WARRANTY


Hardware Warranty: The warranty covers the cost of labour and replacement parts (in the case of new items refurbished items are only covered for the hardware and not labour) for all hardware related problems. Software and user error related
problems are not covered.
Viruses. Virus repairs are not covered by the warranty. Each computer is susceptible to viruses and it is the owner’s responsibility to utilise virus
protection software. Regardless if the computer was supplied with virus protection when it was new, Computer Heaven Ltd cannot guarantee that all viruses will be
repaired.
Software & Operating Systems. Any software that comes pre-installed with our systems, including the operating system, is not covered by the warranty.
User-caused problems. If our assistance is required after a customer attempted to solve a problem out of their own accord, the repair thereof will not be
covered under the warranty.


REPAIR WARRANTY


Computer Heaven Ltd warranty on labour carries a period of three (3) months, and it covers the cost of labour and parts used to the repair thereof. This is limited to
the repair of computer components, printers, monitors, scanners, notebooks. This does not cover any software, software re-installation or data recovery.

FACTORY WARRANTY


The factory warranty is a limited warranty that is offered by the manufacturers of the various computer components, and is limited to their specific terms
and conditions of sale, and more specific, their return policies.

OVERCLOCKING


Overclocking is a method of making your CPU, video card , 3D accelerator and some other hardware run faster and/or better and is not endorsed by the
manufacturers of the item, and therefore excluded from the warranty offered by the manufacturer.

RETURNS


1. No returns for credit will be entertained after seven (7) calendar days from date of invoice - the customer has to ensure that the
correct purchase has been made within this seven (7) calendar day period.
2. Credit issued will be the lesser of the original price paid or the current selling price.
3. Goods returned in less than saleable condition are subject to a minimum fifteen (15) percent handling fee.
4. Goods returned with missing / damaged packaging, software, manuals or accessories will not be credited.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS


1. The customer will be responsible for all costs of return to Computer Heaven Ltd’s shipping address.
2. Removal of any barcodes, labels or stickers (Including the Computer Heaven Ltd warranty sticker located under the battery on laptops and inside the case on towers) will render the respective manufacturer’s component warranty and or Computer Heaven Ltd warranty null & void.
3. Products are not guaranteed against failure as a result of power surges, acts of God such as lightning, physical damage including but
not limited to dents, scratches, missing components, bent or broken sockets / connecting pins and burn marks. Computer Heaven Ltd
reserves the right to thoroughly examine any product returned prior to rendering warranty service and in particular those products
returned with burn marks, including but not limited to UPS, Power Supply, Modem & CPU products to verify if the unit’s malfunction is
a result of a power surge / lightning strike or in the case of CPU’s, operation without a thermal device or 'Overclocking'.
4. Monitors, Power Supply Units (PSU), UPS products, Speaker products and Scanners will be exchanged only within the first seven (7)
calendar days of purchase should they prove defective. Thereafter, these products must be booked in for repair.
5. 'Overclocked' products are not eligible for warranty support.
6. All supplied components are shipped with the respective manufacturers original factory guarantee, and will therefore be subject to the
manufacturer’s warranty.
7. Complete systems returned to Computer Heaven Ltd premises, not covered by Computer Heaven Ltd’s assembly warranty, will attract the standard
prevailing labour fee for removal and replacement of any defective component(s) inside the system supplied by Computer Heaven Ltd - this is
regardless of the component(s) FACTORY warranty.
8. Computer Heaven Ltd reserves the right to replace defective components with either brand new or refurbished components based entirely on
stock availability or the respective manufacturers replacement policy.
9. Complete systems returned under warranty are subject to a forty eight (48) hour turn around period. Longer lead times may apply
depending entirely on the complexity of the problem, as well as the current level of returned systems.
10. Monitors, Power Supply Units (PSU), UPS products, Speaker products and Scanners booked in for repair are subject to a seventy two
(72) hour turn around period based on replacement spares being readily available.
11. Goods returned for service without protective packaging (Anti-Static bag + Container / Box) will be deemed Null & Void from a
warranty perspective.
12. Only the defective product(s) together with protective packaging are to be returned for service. We will not be held liable for software,
cables, accessories and manuals returned with a product.
13. Repaired or replaced products carry the remainder of the original factory warranty as per the date of sale or ninety (90) days
whichever is the greater of the two.
14. Computer Heaven Ltd will under no circumstances be held liable for loss of data while equipment is being serviced. It is therefore imperative
that the customer’s data is fully backed up prior to requesting service.
15. Product(s) returned to Computer Heaven Ltd and booked in for service will be at the customer's sole risk.
16. Damage or loss arising from, but not limited to, fire, natural disasters, water damage, theft or any acts of God will not be covered. It
remains the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that adequate insurance cover has been taken out for any equipment left on the
premises of Computer Heaven Ltd for the total duration such equipment remains on our premises.
